Well, in spite of the continuing cold, the sun seems to be getting warmer and warmer. I’m getting the feeling that winter is winding down. In some ways it is metaphorically appropriate that Easter is celebrated around the beginning of spring when sin’s cold grasp is shattered by the sacrifice and resurrection of the Cross.
Please remember our Candlelight Communion will be held next Friday, March 14 at 7:00pm. Come and enjoy this celebration of the Lord’s Supper with us. Make sure to invite your friends and neighbors to come and share this with us.
On April 12 we will have the pleasure of hosting a sundown concert by the Georgia-Cumberland Academy String Orchestra and Concert Band. Please mark your calendars and plan on coming for this wonderful concert.
The Illinois Conference is entering discussions with the Naperville Church about the districting the Burr Ridge and Naperville churches together. While they have not finalized it yet, the hope is that I will serve both churches as pastor. Please pray that as we enter this transitional period, God will guide and lead both of the churches, as well as Hadassah and I.

I was glad to see so many of you at the Church Business meeting on Monday. For those of you who couldn’t make it, please take a minute to read through the minutes that are in your bulletin.
On Thursday evening, we had a good group over at the Bacchiocchi’s to help them load up some of their things. Next Sabbath will be their last Sabbath with us here at Burr Ridge before they move to Brazil.
